Good will rising ought to be the theme of Texas Wesleyan Univesity School of Law in Fort Worth, Texas. Its tuition is below average for a private law school, currently at $22,550.00, and certainly much lower than its neighbor, SMU Dedman School of Law, who tuition is now over a $1,000.00 per credit hour. And, although the newest addition of ABA approved schools in Texas, it just achieved a 91% bar passage rate on the Texas bar exam.
The law school has a part time program and a full time program. Until UNT law school comes on line, it is located in the part of the state where law school seats are a premium.
The law school has a pretty decent website, and even maintains student blogs to read. It has a video testimonal about the school's flexible options in attending Wesleyan Law. Most information is readily available and visible on its website. Transparency is good and most law schools fail at this miserably.
I do like this funny YouTube video of one student acting as Donald Trump recommending the school. A sense of humor is good for the school.
Texas Wesleyan's only real weakness has seemed to be, not the law school, but Texas Wesleyan University itself. The law school is not housed on its campus and seems, now, to run more independently of the University. However, Wesleyan Law did lose one dean because the University took money from the school to fund its money losing operations at the University and even contemplated selling the law school first to Texas Christian University and then to the University of North Texas in order to raise money for the University. The law school has had a money drive sense these unseemly events, and has completely remodeled its law school, but it is hard for some people to look the other way on these issues.
All in all, Wesleyan Law is a good value.
