Today, I celebrate, however modestly, the 21st anniversary of my 29th birthday. Yep, I am the big 5-0. I am not sure how I got here so quickly. It seems like yesterday that I graduated from law school and was
rocking my oldest daughter so she would quit crying long enough so that her mother and I could study for the bar exam. But, I can take some solace in the fact that some people like Rick Georges at Future Lawyer will always be older than me. My thought is on the subject that I have a lot more practical knowledge at this stage of my life than most and, as I have shown in my Third Wave practice of law, that you can teach old dogs new tricks (albeit, it might take this old dog a little longer to learn the trick). I do not need a cake and candles. I do not need birthday presents. Just send money because I still have a daughter to put through law school and three other children to get at least through college. My one key error might have been in raising four very smart, intelligent and gifted children. To all of those younger lawyers, all I can say is that your day is coming. You too will be here sooner than you expect.

A big happy birthday to you today Chuck. And may you have many, many more.

Happy Birthday, Chuck!
And I must say, you look MAHvelous, Dahling!
A little song, a little dance, a little seltzer down your pants.

Chuck:
Sorry for the delay in commenting. I am old and slow. Actually, I don't mind being older than you. Remember, "Old Age And Treachery Will Always Defeat Youth And Skill".
