Indiana Tech University recently opened its doors to its first entering class of 32 students, and it also just dedicated its new law school building. The law school still has to receive provisional accreditation from the ABA.
I know there are those that simply like to criticize the creation of new law schools, but I am not one of these people. The practice of law is an honorable profession. There can be an argument, I suppose, for too many law schools, but you really cannot have too many good law schools, providing opportunities for those wishing a law degree. There is no reason why Indiana Tech Law School cannot provide such opportunities.
There is an old saying that tells the difference between a developer and an environmentalist. A developer is someone who wants to build a house in the woods. An environmentalist is someone that already owns a house in the woods. In this case a developer is someone that wants to attend law school. The environmentalist is someone that already has.
